DALEY, Wallace Henry “Wally” - 65, of Margaret Street, Pictou occurred March 15, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late John Edward & Elizabeth Rachel (Dunn) Daley.
Wally was a great character who had a wonderful sense of humour and an amazing amount of personal strength. An avid hockey fan, he spent many years at the rink working as Assistant Manager. He later enjoyed working for Northumberland Ferries Ltd., and was very appreciative of their support as his health began to decline. Wally was also a proud member of the Pictou Fire Department, serving many years with the Fire Police.
Surviving are brothers, Stewart (Rose), Pictou and James (Marg), Westville, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, John, Franklin, and Sandy; sister, Rachel.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m Wednesday from Stella Maris Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
