It is with great sadness that the families of Nellie Ellen Fitzgerald announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, on Monday, March 20th, 2017, at the age of 97 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, daughter Patricia MacNeil, of Stephenville, NL, her sons Michael (Bernadette) of B.C, William (Laura), of Deer Lake, NL, and Ronald (Margaret) of Labrador City, her 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Nellie was predeceased by her husband James, son Anthony, her parents, and her siblings. In keeping with Nellie's wishes, cremation will take place, And the family will be receiving family and fiends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, on Friday, March 24th 2017, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 25th, 2017, at 10:30 am, at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church on Nicholsville Road, Deer Lake, NL, in Deer Lake, with the Inurnment to follow at the family plot of The Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.
