Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on March 14th, 2017, Effie Wyatt (Patey) of St. Anthony at age 74 years. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her husband of 49 years, Joseph and her loving boys, Jeffrey (Deann), and Gregory (Mario); grandson Scott (Brooke) and her precious great-granddaughter Jade, born on March 4th, 2017. She looked so forward to her arrival and lived long enough to see pictures of her. Also leaving with fond memories are her six brothers, Wilbur (Loretta), Eric (Marjorie), Jerry (Doris), Dennis (Goldie), Alvin (Valerie), and Larry (Robin); her only living aunt Blanche Biles and her brother-in-law Charles (Joanne), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Edith Patey, mother and father-in-law, John and Emma Wyatt and her precious nephew Joshua Patey and niece Amanda Swinimer (Patey). Effie’s life revolved around her family, whom she loved and cherished with all of her heart. Her nightly phone calls to her boys and brothers, where she always wanted to know in detail of how everyone was doing will surely be missed. Visitation was held at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The funeral service took place on Saturday, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
