John Hugh McKinnon 91 passed away peacefully and in the loving comfort of family on March 24, 2017 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, ON.
John was the last surviving member of an incredible family. He was the son of the late Stephen N & Minnie McKinnon.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Noreen and daughter, Colleen as well as his brothers, Wilfred, Michael, Stephen, Ronald, Fr. Leonard and Gordon; his sisters, Claire, Evelynn, Doris, Irene, Sister Regis and Sister Hilda. He is survived by his wife, Alberta; stepson, Brian (Laura); grandchildren, Kevin and Sheri; also by many nieces and nephews, especially, Patricia MacDonald who’s home became his Cape Breton home.
He enjoyed family friends and travel. He will be remembered fondly as a gentleman by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. John and the family of 114 will live in our hearts and collective memories.
