Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, March 31, 2017, Maxwell L. Blake of New Chelsea, age 86 years. Predeceased by wife Nita; parents William and Emma; brothers Pearce, Carson, Wallace, Albert and Austin; sisters Millie, Rose, Blanche, and Ivy. Leaving to mourn, daughter Sylvia (Jerry) Belbin, Clarenville; two grandsons Brian and Brett (Erin); three great-grandchildren Ava, Hannah and Bree; companion Helen Lessner, Winterton; sister-in-law Shirley Eddy, Bishop's Falls; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
