Doris “Kathleen” Moase

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, April 1, 2017, of Doris “Kathleen” (Morrison) Moase of Summerside, aged 78 years. Born in Summerside, September 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late J. Ernest and Doris (Woodside) Morrison. She is survived by her children Karen (Les) Roper, Charlottetown; Dawn Moase, Chelton; Judy (Peter) Bernard, Travellers Rest; Alma (Wayne) Smith, Travellers Rest; and Herb (Kelly) Moase, Summerside; 7 grandchildren Julie Ann Roper (Shawn), Mitchell Roper (Falina), Stephanie Smith (Mitchell), Katherine Smith, Pamela Bernard (Patrick), Ryan Moase, and Dustin Moase (Sam); 4 great-grandchildren Ethan and Brennan Banks, Mallon and Draven Roper; sisters Joan Morrison Kosec, Shirley (David) Walker, Janet (Claude) Lyle, Gail (Barry) Chappell, and Raye (Milton) Montgomery; sisters-in-law Joyce Morrison, Evelyn Diamond, and Alma (Moase) MacDougall. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and long-time friend Kathy Montgomery. Predeceased by her husband Herbert Davis Moase, granddaughter Lindsay Smith, brothers James Ernest Jr., Wendell Morrison, and Robert Arthur; sister Jessie MacInnis; father-in-law Herbert Davis Moase; mother-in-law Edith Irene (Smallman) Moase; brothers-in-law John Kosec, Edward MacInnis, Harold MacDougall, and Harry Isherwood; sister-in-law Virgina (Moase) Isherwood, and nephew Dale Isherwood and Jimmy Morrison. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington for visitation on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. Followed by her funeral in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery Kensington.
