It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leona Johansen on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Nechiporenko; as well as many of her siblings. Leona is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ken Johansen; sons, Micheal (Wanda) Johansen and Bill (Linda) Johansen; and grandchildren: Justin, Nikita, and Raelynne. During her lifetime, Lee was well known for her outgoing personality. She loved to spend time in conversation with all of her friends, whether that was socializing at the Casino or preparing her client’s tax returns over the past 40 years. Lee will always be known as the collector of clocks, as her home is filled with them on every wall and cabinet she owned. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital and the Pasqua Hospital for the compassionate care given to Mom and the rest of the family during the last few weeks. At Leona’s request, no Funeral Service will be held. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leona’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
