They will all miss her love, fun times and jokes. She is also survived by her much-loved sister, Bonny McTague (Jim), Three Brooks. Diane will be missed by all of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Boyd Jewers, brother Ronnie and son in law Tim Cameron.
Diane was an amazing cook and everyone loved to gather at her home to enjoy her hospitality. She was very kind and regularly made trips with food to those in need. She made beautiful crafts, and her home was always decorated every season with lovely wreaths. She loved to garden and had her father Duncan’s green thumb with flowers.
Diane was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Celtic Star Chapter #19 Blue’s Mills. Before her retirement and return to New Glasgow she worked with Day and Ross in Port Hawkesbury for several years. She attended New Glasgow High School.
She will be resting at H.W. Angus Funeral Home in New Glasgow with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday.
Diane, per her wishes will be cremated and laid to rest with her late husband at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens in a family committal service at a later time.
The family would like thank all Lady Di’s (as she was fondly known) friends and neighbors for all the things you did for her, especially over the last few months. We can never thank you enough. In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice.
