BRENNAN, Jeanne Martha (Toner) 1928 - 2017 Passed peacefully and spiritually at Carleton Manor, Woodstock, N.B., on Monday, April 10, 2017, at the age of 88. Jeanne was first and foremost a guiding light to her family and many in her community. Jeanne’s faith was central to her life which she expressed within her family, community and church activities including the CWL. She found great enjoyment in several creative endeavours including painting, stained glass and quilting and shared these talents with her family and friends. She also was the recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) from Mount Allison University, 1994. She stated "It was a tribute to all of the mothers she had admired for years.” Jeanne is predeceased by her loving husband William Brennan, son Allison, parents Frank and Gertrude Toner, son-in-law Danny MacKenzie (Monica), sister Georgina, brother Claude, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She is survived by children Bernie (Jennifer) Brennan, Rob (Clymena) Brennan, Rick (Maureen) Brennan, Sheila (Ken) Murray, Rev. Bill Brennan, Brian (Rosemary) Brennan, Elaine Harvey, Leigh (Cathy) Brennan, Marie (Bruce) Brine, Monica Brennan, Angie (Danny) McCarthy, Karen (Bob) Carmichael, Andy (Jana) Brennan; 36 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Wilfred Toner, Fred Toner, Mark Toner, Brian Toner, Sister Margaret Toner, Clara Ouellette, Marie Godbout, Timmy Toner, Conrad Toner, Earl Toner and Donna Toner; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Resting at L.R. Giberson's Funeral Home Florenceville Bristol with visitation on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday April 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. from St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville. Rev. Bill Brennan as celebrant. Interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Woodstock Sanctuary House, Epilepsy Foundation, Cancer Society, Alzheimers Society, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Orphanage, Haiti (Cheques made payable to Developing World Partnerships), or to a charity of the donor's choice. wwwgibersonfuneraldirectors.ca
