SHAW, Evelyn Arittia Ruth “Eve” – 85, Truro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Lewis) Phinney. Eve was known as “Mom” to all the kids of “Hollywood”, enjoyed her Saturday night bowling and walks with Bubbles and Sharon. Eve is survived by her children, Gloria Burris, Patty Delaney (Eddie), Barb LeBlanc (Mike), David (Jacki), Johnny (Maryann), Paul (Darlene), Sharon, Stevie (Kimberly); grandchildren, Shelley, Brenda, Wendy, Matt, Shane, Cody, Jay, Dakota, Jaimee, Sophie; great grandchildren, Brady, Cassie, Alex, Jack, Brayden, Caleb, Ian; sisters, Clara Roberts, Debert; Gloria Keating, Gwen Henderson (Mike), June McPhee, Parrsboro; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Sr.; son, William Jr.; one daughter in infancy; son-in-law, Kevin Burris; sisters, Josephine McInnis, Margaret Corbett. The family would like to thank all the staff at Emergency Department, ICU, D-3 and Palliative Care Unit at Colchester East Hants Health Centre for all their loving care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where a celebration of life visitation will be held 6-9 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017.
