Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving and devoted family on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at St. Luke's Home, St. John's. Predeceased by her parents James and Margaret Goff (nee Keough), parents-in-law William and Elizabeth Power (nee Kirby), brothers Clarence (Carmel), Desmond and James, brothers-in-law David Rogers, Cyril Power, Mike McCann and Hal Field, sisters-in-law Marie Power, Helen McCann and Kathleen Field. Geraldine is remembered warmly by Bill, her husband of 64 years, her daughter Margaret Ann (Jim), her son Paul (Bernadine) and her grandchildren Maria (Dan), Kathryn (Derek), Carolyn (Joel), Laura and Jane. She will be sadly missed by her only sister Mary Rogers, her sisters-in-law Ruth Goff, Pauline Goff and Dot Power, her brothers-in-law John (Carmel) Power, Gerald (Carmel) Power, Robert (Anna) Power and close family friend and caregiver Kay Yetman. Geraldine's love of life and good times will be fondly remembered by her lifelong friends Mary Thompson (Doug deceased), Ray Collins (Cammie deceased), Gerald and Yvonne Lang and George and Alice Seviour. Also leaving to mourn is a large number of nieces, nephews and extended family members especially her faithful cousin Marie O'Mara. A special thanks to St. Luke's' Home, the staff of Trinity Square and especially the wonderful and caring staff of Pleasant View Terrace where Geraldine spent the past seven and a half years of her life. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday, April 16 and Monday, April 17 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from St. Pius X Church, Smithville Crescent at 9:30 am. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made to a charity of one's choice.
