Angels walk with us every day. We know this because our mother was one on earth, and now in heaven. Annie who was born in Harvre Boucher, passed away on April 12, 2017 at the home of her daughter Carmel and Jed Miller, whom she has lived with for the past number of years, surrounded by her loving family. As a young girl, she moved to New Waterford where she met her husband, Daniel Grace and raised her family. Annie loved having her family around her. She enjoyed having a full house and there was always room for one more at the table. She loved going for long walks and drives in the country. Annie had a passion for cooking and baking. She was soft spoken and lived for her children.
Surviving and holding her memory close are her children, Kay (Donnie) MacGillivray, Dan Grace (Evelyn Tighe), Eddie (Betty) Grace, Carmel (Jed) Miller, all of New Waterford, Jessie (Dave) Picco of Mira, Raymond(Debbie) Grace of Lingan. Annie was also Nana to Raylene, James, Paul, Steven, Brian, Chrissy, Jonathan, Barbara Ann, Brenda Lee, David, Andrew, Walter Gorden, Sheldon, Amanda, Danny and Raymond Andrew. She was Nana to her 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson, Jayden. Annie is also survived by sister, Aldona (Stewart) Leadbeater and daughter-in-law, Barbara. Besides her parents, Alice (DeYoung) and Albert Benoit, Annie was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Grace; sons, Walter, Bert; brothers, William (Mary) Benoit, Michael (Florence) Benoit, Pious Benoit and Edgar (Irene) Dean; sister, Emma (Donnie) Campbell, also her special aunt, Loretta DeYoung and her special daughter-in-law, Irene Grace.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. A chapel service will take on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Father Ray Huntley officiating.
Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the K.O.C, Plummer Ave, all are welcome. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
