Ella MacDonald

Beloved wife and mother Ella Elizabeth MacDonald, age 97 of Seventh Street, Trenton passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 16th, 2017. Ella was born in Trenton on Feb. 16, 1920 the daughter of the late Charles and Irene (MacLean) Naugler.
She was a member of Green Hill /Salem Presbyterian Church where she loved singing in the choir. Ella later joined St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. Ella brought joy and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her, she loved to laugh and make people laugh.
In her earlier years, Ella worked as a hairdresser at various shops throughout the county. Brundage and Ella together conducted the Min-u-ettes Round Dance Club for 25 years and was an active member of the Clan Donald Society.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 74 years E. Brundage, Trenton; sons Gordon (Veronica), New Glasgow; Allan (Sandy), Trenton; daughter Karen (Cornelius) Mouris, Moncton; Ella took great delight and pride in her grandchildren and great -grandchildren. Katy MacLean (daughter of Allan and Nola), Melissa (Christoph) Fleishmann, Gordie MacDonald, Charles (Darlene) Mouris, Heidi Mouris; great-grandchildren Liam, Malcolm, Kenzie, Ella, Zoe, Vincent; sister-in-law Dianne (Ron) Arsenault, Halifax; several nieces and nephews.
Ella was predeceased by her brother Dean Naugler.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow with Rev. Joon Ki Kim officiating. Burial will be in the Durham Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Arthritis Society or a charity of your choice.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lee, the Palliative Care, all the caregivers and nurses for their compassionate care for our mother.
