Passed peacefully surrounded by her family at Atlantic Baptist Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 of Betty Callaghan formerly of Lake Verde, age 89 years. Loving mother of Ron “RJ” (Betty), Dianne Dunn (Joey) and Paula Myers (Mark). Betty will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, KJ and Chad Callaghan, Michelle Hayward, Darren and Darrell Callaghan, Janelle Johnson and Matthew and Ashley Myers; 11 great grandchildren; sisters - Celine Traviss (Morley) and Faustina Haight (Paul) and brothers-in-law Vic England and Gerry Ruppell. She was predeceased by the children’s father - Kenneth Callaghan, her parents John and Marion (nee MacDonald) Naddy, son - Kevin Callaghan, sisters - Mary Redmond, Josephine Luppee, Fran England, Lillian Ruppell and Faustina Morrison; infant brothers - Clifford and Joseph Naddy. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
