Edwin James "Jim" Power

Edwin James "Jim" Power – 67. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Edwin James “Jimmy” Power, age 67 from Salmon River announce his unexpected passing on Monday, April 17, 2017 at his home. Jimmy was born in Antigonish and was the son of the late Margaret and Harold (Casey) Power. For most of his life he operated tow trucks before becoming the owner of Power Towing. He was currently employed with Sharpe Contracting. Jim is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa, his beautiful grandchildren whom he was very proud of, Katie (Tyson), Cameryn and Gavon and his precious great-grandchildren, Reagan, Adelyn and Calen Gloade. He is also survived by his twin brother, Eddie (Bonnie), Donald (Karen), Mississauga, ON, Greg (Janice), David (Colleen), Robert (Shelley); sisters, Debbie (Dave) Geldart, Fort McMurray, AB, Sandy (Mike) Claydon, Toronto, ON, Peggy Power (Eldon “Spud” Arsenault); brother-in-law, Doug Bolton, ON; sister-in-law, Bev Power and their families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Jamie Power (2001), step-son, Kevin Bannon (2011), sister, Wanda Bolton (2008) and brother, Allan (2013). Cremation has taken place under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Robie Street Cemetery with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating.
