Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre in the presence of his loving family on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn the love of his life Edith (nee Noseworthy), his devoted wife of 59 years; his eight children: Linda (Eddy) Joyce, Janet Pike, Cathy Edwards, Don (Dos) Pike, Elaine (Keith) Ward, Deanne (Randy) Whittle, Barbie (Jim) Power and Chris (Kelly) Pike; grandchildren: Jason, Chantelle (Chip), Dylan, Tiffany (Adrian), Donny (Michelle), Samantha (Mitchell), Mallory (Mike), Travis, Janessa, Barry, Danielle, Kelly, Megan and Cierra; great-grandchildren: Cooper, Sophia, Keegan, Blaire, Ethan, Emily, Makenna and Hailey. Also leaving to mourn his brother Gord and sister June and their families; sisters-in-law: Ella (Wally, deceased), Lorraine (Robert); and special long time friend Geraldine (Johnny, deceased). Predeceased by his parents and grandparents: Stella and William and Mary and Bill Pike; brothers and sisters: John, Jim, Allan, Margaret, Lillian and Alice and great-grandson Brayden. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 and Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Main Road, Goulds. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donation's may be made in Donald's memory to the Dr. H.
