The family of the late James Willis Tolbart would like to express their thanks and appreciation for the kindness extended during their recent loss. James Willis Tolbart, age 89 passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, April 21, 2017. Born February 18, 1928 in Middleton, NS he was a son of the late James and Hallie Tolbart. James worked as a Head Chef with the Canadian Forces College Military Base, Toronto, ON retiring after 35 years of service. He was affectionately known as “TJ” and “Tony” by those close to him. In his younger years, James worked as a cook in Greenwood, NS and taught school in Windsor, NS. James loved fashion, western films, country and gospel music and most of all having yard sales. He had a great sense of humor, love of life, always had a smile and always helped those in need. He was very loving to his family and his beloved dogs. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Janet Tolbart, Brampton, ON; niece, Gwen Tolbart, Washington, DC; sister, Catherine Tolbart, Middleton; brother, Harold (Buck) Tolbart, Trenton, ON; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, and his loving dog, Troubles. Special thanks to his devoted caretaker angels Karen McIntyre, Grafton, NS and Michelle Aubin, Middleton, NS. James was predeceased by his parents, James and Hallie Tolbart, his siblings, Ella Hill, Jimmy Jackson, Ralph Jackson, Madeline Stevens, Frank Tolbart and Hazel Davis.
