It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Raymond Francis Murphy on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre at the age of 63 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Betty; sons: Raymond Jr., Ian and his wife Krista; three beautiful grandchildren, the light of poppy's eyes Stephanie, Sara and Tyler; five sisters: Ann Mercer, Christina and Baden Cunning, Rose and Dennis Russell, Eva and Robert Newhook and Josephine and David Billard; sisters and brothers-in-law: Maxine Murphy, Muriel and Jack, Bill and Cindy Tarbett, Debbie and Frank Walbourne, Peter and Laura Tarbett, Marie and Larry Duhart, Brian Brett, Coreina and Karl Layden, Jerry and Holly Tarbett, Shawn and Sheila Tarbett; his three little buddies Zachary Fagan, Logan and Evan Clarke; his good friend Linda Hann; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandson Baby Jack Murphy, parents Aloysius and Josephine Murphy, brothers George, Mike and Joe Murphy, father and mother-in-law William and Irene Tarbett and sister-in-law Rita Brett. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28 at 1 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, St. Mark's Avenue with Rev. Canon David Russell officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
