Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 on his 78th birthday, David Joseph Lundrigan, a 25 year veteran of Her Majesties Penitentiary. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Olive Lundrigan, step-mother Gladys Lundrigan (the only Mom he knew), sisters Leona Fillier, Mary Lundrigan, Eileen Lundrigan and Elsie Walker. Left with fond and loving memories Violet, his devoted wife of 54 years, his loving daughter April, and two precious grandchildren Joshua and Cameron, who he thought the world of. Also leaving to mourn special sister-in-law Marg Sullivan, special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dave and Mary Somerton, brother Edward Lundrigan (Patricia), and a close circle of nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to staff at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital (7th floor East) and the Palliative Care Unit and to both Reverend Amanda Taylor and Father Garry Parsons for their help in our time of need. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Road on Friday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Anglican Church in Portugal Cove, with interment to follow at a later date.
