It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Husband Robert “Bert” Drake on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Extendicare. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Vera; his sons, David (Lynne), Phillip (Marie), Roy (Mary), and Ken (Cheri); his only daughter, Vivian (Wendel); 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters Lorraine (Al), Jeannette, and Helen; brothers Larry (Janet) and Rod; sister-in-law Dorothy (Moe); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Chelta and William; siblings, Bernie (Lorna), Don, Dale, Lavern, Shirley, Eunice, and Kay; his mother and father-in-law, Pearl and Herbert; sister-in-law’s, Margee and Marjorie; brother-in-law Wayne; and his grandson Shane. A Visitation will take place in W. J. Jones & Son Chapel Tuesday, May 2 at 7:00PM. A Funeral Service will take place at the W. J. Jones & Son Chapel (106 Athabasca St. E, Moose Jaw) Wednesday, May 3 at 1:30PM. Pastor Ron Silvester will officiate. Interment at Sunset Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. In living memory of Bert, a memorial tree planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
