It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Ivan Greensides announce his passing on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 in Regina, SK. Born January 20th, 1947 in Assiniboia, SK, Donald worked in various places over the years. In 1966, while residing and working at Crown Tire in Vancouver, BC Don earned his pilot’s license, one of his proudest achievements. From 1975 to 1979 he owned and operated Prairie View Esso in Assiniboia with his brother Stu. After selling the business, Don worked on the pipeline in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Donald married Judy Libke on May 2nd, 1992 and retired to Moose Jaw in 2010 after selling their acreage near Assiniboia. He loved trail riding, golfing with the Ragamuffins, and playing cribbage with family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ivan (1967); mother, Doreen (2002); and brothers: Marv (1998), Bob (2016), and Terry (2016). Donald is survived by his loving wife of 25 years of marriage, Judy; his favourite cat, Sydni; brother, Stu (Helen); sisters: Alice Peterson, Hazel Hannah, Beryl (Ray) Robinson, Dona Andreychuk, Sharon (Wayne) Heatcoat, and Brenda (Brian) Hillmer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Donald’s Life will be held on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
