At the age of 81, Joyce passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario.
Born in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia on August 23, 1935, Joyce was a daughter of the late Samuel and Lenora (Tully) Cruickshank. She will be remembered for her gifts of hospitality and caring for family, friends, and foster children.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents and husband John (Jack) Arthur Cameron.
Joyce is survived by her sister, Dorothy Redden of Windsor, NS; children, Wanda Locke of Machias, Maine, Todd Cameron (Diana) of Wickum, NB, Craig Cameron (Sue) of Cambridge, ON, Mark Cameron (Mirasol) of Lac La Biche, AL, Jan Cameron (Bruce) of Waterloo, ON and Joe Gammon (Dolly) of Langley, BC; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Joyce is remembered by Brenna and Janna Conrad who Joyce cared for as young girls.
A celebration of her Christian life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Please contact the family for further details. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
