Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 of George Wendell "Butch" Ward of Charlottetown age 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy "Dottie" (Flanagan) Ward and dear father of Paul (Blanche), Mike, Mark "Gussie" (Shelley), and Tim (Dawn). Loving Poppy of Emma, Jamie, MacKenzie and Karleigh. Brother of Anne (Jim) McMullin, Art (Sharon) Smith, Marion Westman and Lois (deceased). Butch is also lovingly remembered by special niece/daughter, Carol Roach and many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre or a charity of choice.
