MacKINNON (Higgins), Marlene Louise – 71, Belmont, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, at home. Born in Crowes Mills, she was a daughter of the late Albert Esson and Grace Mae (Barnhill) Higgins. Marlene worked for Sun Alliance as an insurance representative. She enjoyed shopping and loved animals, especially dogs. Marlene is survived by her husband, Donald MacKinnon; brother-in-law, Bill (Val) MacKinnon; sister-in-law, Jill Higgins; nieces and nephews, Wade (Rona), Bobby (Cara), Garth, Krista (Greg), Stephen, Tonda (Wade), Kenda (Brad), Lisa (Kevin), Jeff (Theresa); numerous great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Rona, Ruth; brother, Grant. All are welcome to attend a graveside interment service that will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Belmont Cemetery (just past civic number 862 Belmont Road), Belmont, Reverend Glenn MacLean officiating.
