Passed peacefully away on May 8, 2017 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB, surrounded by loving family, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer, Clara Rose, age 68. Predeceased by her parents: Edwin and Martha Whittle, husband Donald Rose, sister Theresa Cox, brother Reginald Whittle. Clara is survived by brother William Gould (Helen), sister Mary Slaney (Richard), sister Christina Kelloway (Albert), brother Edwin Whittle (Rosetta), sister Rita Party (Carl), sister Shirley Foote (Wilson), sister Madonna Foote (Daniel), sister Marina Porter (Gary), brother Verno Whittle (Ruby), brother Anthony Whittle (Beverly), sister-in-law Beatrice Whittle. Leaving to mourn her children, son Vincent Fitzpatrick (Linda), son Gordon Fitzpatrick, daughter Melissa Organ (Barbara), son Jamie Fitzpatrick (Amanda), son Alexander Rose (Pauline), her loving partner Kenneth Stewart, special granddaughter Chantelle Fitzpatrick and special grandson Nicholas Rose plus fourteen grandchildren, many nieces and nephews plus a large circle of relatives and friends and her little dog Mila. Clara will be resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John's from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Corpus Christi Parish, Waterford Bridge Road. Cremation will follow and there will be a private family interment. Clara's family wish to thank the caring staff at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, especially her doctor Dr. Gillis Doyle for taking such good care of her and her social worker Julie Doucet for the tremendous amount of support!
