It is with great sadness that the families of Shirley Ann Short announce her sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Sunday, May 14th, 2017, at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Michelle Short, Betty Short (Jason Roswell) and Roger Short (Michele Wells), her grandchildren Justin Short, Noah Short, Tori Short and Jordan Caravan, her siblings Theresa (Norman) McLeod and William (Charmaine) Bennett), her special friend Harry LeRoux, her nieces and nephews Dennis (Flo), Michael, Peter (Kathy), Sheri (Rick) and Isabella, her great-nieces and nephews Meredith, Thomas, Daniel, Kaleb, Brody, Duncan, Karisa, Kane and Ethan (My old Trout), and her step-mother Mrs. Dulcie Bennett. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Annie and William Bennett. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Tuesday May 16th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Wednesday May 17th, 2017, at 11 am, with Major Wayne Pike officiating, and keeping with Shirley's wishes cremation to follow.
