It is with deep sadness that the family of Donald Courtney Lowerison age 78 of Amherst announce his passing on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Donald Sr. and Leona (Cooke) Lowerison.
Donnie worked as a Floral Designer for over 40 years at Acadian Florist, Amherst. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Linden.
He is survived by his son Jamie (Leeya Hicks) of Amherst, daughter Jo- Ann McKenzie of New Glasgow, grandchildren Victoria Lowerison- Hicks, Alexandra Hicks, Robert McKenzie and Mary MacIsaac (Darrell); 2 great grandchildren Rayna Gillis and Dean McKenzie- Dapuis.
Besides his parents, Donnie was predeceased by his wife the former Olive Williams.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 12 – 2 p.m. with funeral service at 2 p.m. held at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St, Amherst, 902-667-9906.
