ROSS, Robert Eldridge, June 18, 1947 – May 15, 2017.
A native of Trenton, Bob was known to many for his love of people, his friendly teasing and joyful smiles. Bob spent many days at the Trenton Ball Park, supporting his favorite team or cheering on friends as they participated in various events, always ready for that picture with the winner. He was one of the first to attend Summer Street Industries, and remained a participant for many years, making memories and friends along the way. Bob’s passion was country music, from Jim Reeves to a kitchen party, he often participated with guitar in hand. For the past 18 years Bob was a resident of High Crest on Forbes Street, New Glasgow, a place he came to call home. He was dearly loved by the staff, and they became his friends, mentors and family. Because he was loved he was content and happy, always ready with a hug or a “Bobby” smile! He was predeceased by his loving parents, Julia & Percy Ross. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM on Thursday from the McLaren Funeral Home Chapel, Pictou, with Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Burial will be in the Seaview Cemetery.
