HARRIS, Helen Marguerite (Peggy) - age 94 of Yarmouth, N.S. passed away May 12, 2017 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late George and Mabel (Harris) Cleveland. She was a member of the Beacon United Church in Yarmouth; Helen was also a church elder and a member of the UCWL. She is survived by her son David (Loretta) Harris of Mood Road, Yarmouth County, NS; a step daughter-in-law, Irma Harris of Norwood, NS; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren. Besides her husband Russell H. Harris, who passed away in 1996, she was predeceased by her 11 sisters and brothers. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. from Sweeny's Funeral Home and Chapel, Rev. Sharon Lohnes officiated. Burial will take place at a later date in the Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
