In loving memory of George Hickey Sr. of Bell Island; born October 30, 1924, passed peacefully away on May 14, 2017. George was preceded by his devoted wife, Doris (Dolly) Luffman and his cherished children Brian and Regina, his parents Stephen and Gertrude, his brothers Stan, Mike, Jim, Stephen and Vince. Leaving to mourn: his brother Tom, his sisters Mary, Sally and Maude, his sons George Jr. (Mary), David (Marilyn) and Eric (Kimberly), his daughters Mary Whelan (Ambrose) and Bonita French (Maurice), twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Pendergast Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday May 17 and 18, 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Michael's Church at 2:00pm on Friday May 19, 2017. Burial will follow the funeral at St. Michael's Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Michael's Parish.
