BAZINET, Léo D. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Léo Bazinet on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the St-Jacques Nursing Home in Embrun at the age of 74 years. Loving spouse of Aline Sabourin. Father of Lucille, Daniel (Chantal Gagné), Marcel (Melany Villeneuve), Lucien (Manon Ménard) and beloved grandfather of Valérie, Myriam, Zoé and Emily. He was the son of the late Joseph Bazinet and late Clara Godard. Survived by his brothers, Lionel (late Jeannine Adam), late Ernest (Jeannine Fontaine), Florian (Lucie Lallier), Rhéal (Debbie Maheral), Aurel (Diane Godard), Rosaire (Rita Loiselle), François (Colette Racine) and his sisters, Liliane (late Fernand Laflèche and late Léo Lalonde), Aurélia s.s.c.j., Dolores (Hervé Castonguay), Cécile (Reynald Fortier), Marie-Jeanne (Marcel Piché), Pauline s.s.c.j., Gabrielle (Claude Gour), late Germaine Bazinet, late Monique Bazinet, Françoise (Ronald Lafrance) and Louise (Hector Hacquard). Also survived by his brothers-in-law and his sisters-in-law, Gérard Sabourin (Cécile Lalonde), George Sabourin (Diana Lavergne), late Hélène (Rolland Paquette), Rita (Claude Poirier), Bernard Sabourin (Hughena MacLean), Jean Sabourin (Francine Proulx), Léo-Paul Sabourin (Ginette Mayer), Claude Sabourin (Mireille Mayer) and Michel Sabourin (Pierrette Cayer). Predeceased by his father-in-law Rolland O. Sabourin and his mother-in-law Cécile Villeneuve. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Embrun St-Jacques Nursing Home for good care and special attention given to Léo throughout his stay. The visitations will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, May 19 and from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the LAFLEUR FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 709 Principale Street, Casselman (613) 764-3286. The Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the St-Albert Church. After the ceremony, the family invite relatives and friends for a light lunch at the J.R.
