Retired from the CNIB Cater Plan Service, passed peacefully away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Health Science Centre, age 78 years. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Violet; stepmother Ann; brother Billy Wilson; sisters Shirley Hawco, Betty Fitzgerald and daughter Lisa Marie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 57 years John; daughter and best friend Debbie Bruce; sisters Cathy Hall, Carol Ann Wilson; sister-in-law Theresa Hollahan, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jean was a proud member of the Newfoundland Hotel Rowing Team and champion in the 1958 St. John's Royal Regatta and was conducted into the Royal Newfoundland Regatta Hall of Fame. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from Corpus Christi Church at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
