George “Thomas” Delaney - (1935-2017), North River, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2017.
Thomas is survived by children, Glenda Conrad, Glen Delaney, Pamela (Gary) Lynds, Allen Delaney and James Delaney. He will be remembered with love by his, grandchildren Tanya Conrad, Jessica Conrad, Colby Delaney, Cydney Delaney, Rylan Sachs; step grandchildren Jannetta Boomer, Chris Boomer, Tasha Stokdijk, Melissa Porter, as well as his great grandchildren, Keira, Luna and Mason Thomas, whom he loved so very much. Thomas will also be remembered fondly by his twin sister; Maryann (Ernie) Wilson; sister, Lila Lynk; brother, Curtis Delaney, many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Winnifred (Weatherbee); brothers, Dexter and Robert, infant sister, Elizabeth

Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 29th at 1pm in Onslow Island Cemetery, with Pastor Ken Fillmore, officiating. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
