MacKay, Daniel William “Danny”, age 72, of Truro, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 24, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born in Truro where he spent most of his life. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jane (Dauphinee); sons, Scott (Crystal), Bradley (Krista), and Michael; as well as his loving grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Jack, Cohen, Brielle, and Hailey; grand-dog, Chloe; sister, Isabel (Wilfred) Perry; several nieces and nephews. Danny is predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Lila “Daisy” (McLanders) MacKay; brother, Donald. Danny enjoyed gardening, listening to his country classics, and watching curling. Danny retired in 2010 from Clarke Road Transport. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, May 28, in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, Rev. John Parsons officiating, with interment to follow in the Watson Cemetery, East Prince Street Truro. Family flowers only.
