SONIER, GRACE MARGUERITE - Grace Marguerite Sonier formerly of Sydney, NS and Saint John, NB, passed away at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, NB on Saturday December 27, 2003. Born in Boston, Mass on January 1, 1911, she was the daughter of the late George and Katherine (MacDonald) Moore. Grace was a former member of Stella Marie R.C. Church in East Saint John and a member of the C.W.L. Grace and her second husband William Sonier were proprietors of the Old Lantern Gift Shop in Penobsquis for many years. Dearly loved, Grace will be sadly missed by two daughters Lois Maxwell (John) of Middleton, NB and Sonya Ryan (Gerald) of Saint John; one son, Bill Sonier (Charlene) of Cornwall, ON; one brother, George (late Florence) Moore of Sydney, NS, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; one step daughter Anne Fleming of Ketch Harbour, NS; one step son Fred of Ontario, four step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and by a special grand niece Gaylen Moore of New Glasgow. She was predeceased by her first husband Victor Buckingham in 1938, second husband William Sonier in 1975, brothers Frank, Walter and Harry, step sons Andrew, Lewis and Frank, one infant grandson Joseph and one step grandson Christopher Fiander. The remains have been forwarded for cremation. A memorial mass wiil be held at St-Vincent R.C. Church in Sackville on Friday January 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Donations can be made to Donor's Choice.
