(O'Keefe) 1924-2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Frances Shallow (O'Keefe) announce her passing at the Central Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on July 6, 2008, at the age of 84. Surrounded by her family, she died as she lived, with grace and dignity. To her friends she was gentle and caring. To her God she was a good and faithful servant. To us, her family, she was a beacon, a shining light in our world: that constant light that marks our path and leads us safely home. May we keep faith with her legacy of devotion. Marie was an active member of the Catholic Women's League. She is predeceased by her husband Charles 1972, son-in-law Patrick McHenry 2008, Brother Cyril 1993, Brother Bernard 1999. Left with fond and loving memories are sons, Paul (Sandra) of Marystown, Michael of Marystown, Charles (Jennifer) of Mount Pearl, Christopher (Jackie) of Kamloops BC, Gerard of St. John's, John (Wanda) of St. John's. Daughters, Lynn McHenry of Corner Brook, Patricia Shallow of Quebec City, Helen Leger (Roy) of Oakville, On, Anne Kordyback (Vincent) of Vancouver, BC and Marie Shallow of Ottawa, On. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Gertrude Delong and Anne O'Keefe of NS, Rose Deighan and Monica McNeill, PEI. Grandchildren: Susan MacLeod, Maria Williams, Michael and Matthew McHenry, Sarah and Peter Tardif, Christopher and Carla Kordyback, Carmen, Elizabeth and Caroline Shallow, Jillian and Angela Shallow, Kathleen, Michael and Amelia Shallow and Joshua Shallow. Great-grandchildren: Rose and Mary-Beth MacLeod, and Sophia Williams. Visiting hours will be Monday, July 07, from 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday, July 8, from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm at the Central Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor. The Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Grand Falls-Windsor on Wednesday, July 9 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grand Falls-Windsor. Flowers would be gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Organ Fund in her memory.
