Gustav Schubert AMHERST - The death of Gus Schubert, age 85, of Amherst occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, on Thursday April 5, 2007. Born in Springhill he was a son of the Late Gustav and Lydia (Taschner) Schubert. Gus will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Irene MacDonald, Florida and Ann Wright, Amherst; as well as several nieces and nephews. The remains have been cremated under the care of the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Amherst (667-8777). A memorial service will be held at the Furlong~Jones Chapel, 64 Church Street, Amherst, on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 11 am, Pastor Jonathan Cole officiating.
