MARK HENDRIK 1957 DEBOS

DEBOS, MARK HENDRIK 1957 - 2006. Morganton, NC. Mark Hendrik deBos, 49, passed away peacefully at his home in Morganton Wednesday, December 20th, 2006. He has been reunited with his beloved father, Fredrick C. deBos, who passed away November 1988. Mark was born in St. John New Brunswick, Canada. Before settling in Morganton, NC in September, 2004, he lived in Marlborough, CT where he attended Ram High School. Later Mark moved to West Hartford, VT to raise his daughter in a rural community. Mark's great passion was anything with wheels, he loved driving for Georgia Pacific, before becoming disabled in 1987. He worked as a mechanic up North along side of his best friend, Ed (Bing) Benham. Between the two of them, they could fix anything. Mark loved his country he called home, he took pride in knowing its history and politics. Mark's one unfulfilled dream was to see the country on motorcycle. Mark had many happy times with his family, but, his proudest moment was the day his daughter completed Basic Training and entered the US Air Force. He is survived by his mother, Doreen deBos, of St. John New Brunswick, Canada; his wife, Judy Rawson deBos, of the home; his daughter, A1C Amanda Bateman, and husband, Bruce, of Fayetteville, NC; his sister, Lynn Caputo, and husband, Chuck, of Fort Myers, FL; also, his nephews, Matthew and Brandon. Mark also leaves behind uncles, an aunt and several cousins. In keeping with Mark's wishes, no formal services will be held. He asked that you remember him in your own home or House of Worship. The family will open their home at 4890 Elk Court, Morganton, on Wednesday, December 27th, 2006, on what would have been Mark and Judy's 21st Wedding Anniversary, to friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
