Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Auxillary Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta on December 27, 2007 after a lengthy illness, Richard Donald Walsh at the age of 51. He leaves to mourn two sons: Jason Walsh of Warkworth, Ontario (mother Marilyn Walsh), Clint Bridger of Grande Prairie, Alberta (mother Shirley Chaulk of Deer Lake); three granddaughters: Taylor Raine Walsh of Warkworth, Ontario, Janika Wilton of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Bethany Bridger of Deer Lake; brother: Jerome (Jerry) Walsh Jr. (Danica Taylor) of Corner Brook; three sisters: Barbara Sparkes (Otto) of Rocky Harbour, Doris Pennell of Corner Brook, Gladys Abbott (Brian) of Oshawa, Ontario; nephews: Brandon Sparkes, and Stephen Abbott; nieces: Lacey Sparkes, Terrilynn Pennell, Racene and Sheena Walsh, and Jennifer Abbott. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of other family, friends and a special friend of the family Hazel Chafe of Curling, as well as the nurses and doctors of St. Joseph’s Auxillary Hospital. He is predeceased by his parents: Daisy (1994) and Jerome Walsh (2007). Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 10:30 am with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
