HART, WILLIAM ROBERT (BILL) - WII Veteran Shriner and Mason Retired, Civilian Member, DND Died peacefully in hospital, on Saturday, December 27, 2008 with his beloved wife of 59 years, Shirley Grace Hart and his niece, Mardia Houle by his side. Born May 4, 1921 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Bill was predeceased by his parents, Beatrice and Thomas Hart; and his sister, Mary Wakeham. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Doris MacAfee of Sussex, New Brunswick; and numerous nephews and nieces. Bill served overseas with the Canadian Armed Forces in WWII, in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland. Upon return from service, he joined the public service, Department of National Defence. Bill was a life-long member of both the Northumberland Masonic Lodge of the Miramichi and a Noble of the Shriners of North America. A private cremation will be held, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
