Yvonne Rosemarie Bruce (nee Tabbernor & Marcotte) died February 9, 2009, in Vancouver BC, at Fair Haven Care Home, after a debilitating battle with Alzheimer’s. Yvonne was born in Howell, Sask 1920; she worked at the PA airport during WWII and in later life as an LPN in Burnaby BC. Her mother Lucienne Marchand (nee Marcotte & Grimard), her father, Philippe Marcotte, brothers Leo Marcotte & Albert Marchand & sister & brother-in-law Marie and Gerry Corriveau predeceased her. She leaves behind two daughters Brenda Delaney & Barbie Bruce, sister Albina Marchand & sister-in-law Rita Marchand and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation was her wish and there will be a simple private family ceremony in the summer. In lieu of cards or flowers, a donation in her name to the Alzheimer’s Society is appreciated.
