Eldon V. MacDonald 1929-2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Eldon Vincent MacDonald, husband of Irene MacDonald, of Glenwood, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday evening, December 26th, 2006, at the age of 77. Born in Upper Black River, on February 24th, 1929, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Edge) MacDonald. He was a retired employee of North Shore Construction Ltd. and an adherent of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Bennett; three daughters, Mary Malley (Leo), Gloria LaCharite (Steven), all of Calgary, Alberta, Theresa Cabel (Vincent), of Black River Bridge; three sons, Richard MacDonald (Karen), Donny MacDonald (Faye), all of Black River Bridge, Kerry MacDonald (Veronica), of Calgary, Alberta; two sisters, Hazel Watling, of Glenwood and Jean MacDonald, of North Napan Road; two brothers, Stan MacDonald and Leonard MacDonald (Barbara), all of Black River Bridge; thirteen grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by one infant son, Leo; one sister, Ruby Muir; one brother, Herman MacDonald. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Thursday only, December 28th, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on Friday, December 29th, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, Black River Bridge, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Cemetery Fund, the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
