Gerald Maillet 1945 - 2008 Gerald Maillet, 63, of Dixon Point, has passed away at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on December 28th, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint-Norbert on April 12th, 1945, he was the son of Marie (Maillet) Maillet and the late Alban Maillet (1987). Gerald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Fernande (Gallant) Maillet, two daughters, Ginette Maillet (Kenny) of Bas Cap-Pelé, Nancy Mills (Steven) of Bouctouche, four grandchildren, Justin, Josée, Annik and Sébastien, three sisters, Irène Richard (Bernard), Anise Belliveau (Jean) both of Bouctouche, Stella Thibodeau (Léon) of Saint-Norbert, two brothers, Noël (Glenda), and Livain (Yvette) both of Bouctouche, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three sisters, Vitaline (1941), Simone (1995), Gloria (2008), and two brothers, Oscar (1943), Désiré (1997). Upon Gerald's request there will be no viewing at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Saturday January 3rd, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Gerald's immediate family will received family and friends for a reception at the Bouctouche Golden Age Club after the funeral. In Gerald's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L.
