We, the family of the late John Dennis MacLeod, would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who visited, sent food, donations, mass cards, sympathy cards, e-mails, monetary gifts and flowers. For the beautiful service thanks to Rev. Stephen Mills, the St. Andrew's Church Choir, Organist Peter Fraser, Amby McDonald & Susan Kelley for their words of remembrance, Amy Baker for her rendition of Amazing Grace and to Sara & Brooke who read scripture lessons describing their papa's love of children and animals. To the firefighters who provided the honour guard, it touched our hearts to see Dad remembered in such an amazing way. Much love & thanks to pallbearers Frank MacDonald, George Lundrigan, Wayne Harper, Walter Kowal, Mike MacKinnon, Paul O'Keefe & Myles MacLean as well to Steve Pertus and Ray MacDonald for their presentations to our family, and to honourary pallbearers Phillip MacLeod, Ray Baker, Donald Montgomery, James McDonald, Delton McDonald & Andreas Nannos, to Chants Funeral Home, Sheldon, Wendy & Stephanie, for their kindness and professionalism, to Ken Collier & Ali Stone-MacDougall for the bulletins and the St. Andrew's ladies for the reception after the service. Special thanks to Dad's brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and in-laws for their kindness, help and support. Thank you to the "Hens" for always being there for Mom and to Glenn Sharpe for being here and taking care of our children. There are so many people who did so much, there really aren't enough words to express our gratitude; your kindness will never be forgotten.
Mary Jane, John & Margie, Allan & Karen, Janice & Shawn and families. A wonderful father, husband and aide; one who was better, God never made; A wonderful firefighter, so loyal and true; one in a million - that father was you. Loved by your friends and all whom you knew; our wonderful father - that father was you.
