Edgar was born in Debden on August 17, 1935 and was raised on the farm till the age of 17 when he left to start his own career. On July 27, 1959 he married his lifelong partner Odile (Jean) Cyr of Debden. In 1968 he moved his family to Albertville to be closer to his work, supplying wood for the new Prince Albert Pulpmill until his retirement in 2000. He is survived by his loving wife Odile Cyr of 50 years. Together they raised 4 sons and 1 daughter, MARC (Jacqueline) and their children Andrè (Christine), Joël (Danielle) & Thèo, Martin (Jacqueline), Jovan. LÈON (Madeleine) and their children Michelle, Brigitte (Yves) Thibault, Rachelle (Lee Arens), Jocelynne & François. IVAN (Linda) and their children Kelsey, Kolton, Keenan & Kami. JEAN (Sandra ) and their children Jordan, Mathieu & Thomas. ELISE (Anil) Chand and their children Shivanne, Renèe and Nayan. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 5 sisters Paulette (Raymond) Bonneau, Dolores (Claude) Francoeur, Roger (Carmen) Cyr, Guy (Ghislaine) Cyr, Sylvia (Luc) Bonneau, Nile (Irene) Cyr, Marthe (Rick) Coquet and Cecile (Philibert) Demers; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law of Odile and also numerous nieces & nephews. Edgar’s favourite pastimes were looking after his yard, camping, golfing, fishing, travelling and spending time with family and friends. He also loved attending different activities involving his many children & grandchildren. He was a very active and dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as various Parish & Community activities. Edgar passed away suddenly in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on March 6, 2010 visiting family. He was predeceased by his parents Charles & Cecile Cyr of Debden; mother-in-law and father-in- law Louis & Noella Jean of Debden; brothers-in-law Yves Rohel, Art Dumais and Glorien Couture, sister-in-law Shirley Jean and nephew Norman Jean. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on March 12, 2010 with celebrants Bishop Blaise Morand, Reverend Father Tuyen Vu and Reverend Father Tru Le. Both services will be held at St James Roman Catholic Church in Albertville, Sk. Interment will be held at St James Cemetery in Albertville, SK. at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray\'s Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
