Passed away peacefully, as she lived, at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, Nellie Ruth Abbott, age 90, formerly of Musgrave Harbour. Predeceased by her father and mother Willis and Nora Abbott, sister Emmeline Spurrell, brother-in-law Thomas Spurrell, nephew-in-law Vincent Osbourne, special cousin Sadie Abbott. Leaving to mourn niece Maisie Osbourne; nephews: Willis (Ida) Spurrell and Roland (Pat) Spurrell; great-nieces and nephews: Ross (Judy) Osbourne, Glenda (Bill) Hart, Ian (Linda) Osbourne, Wade (Cindy) Spurrell, Lori (Ned) Mercer, Julie Spurrell, Nancy (Gareth Middleman) Spurrell; great-great-nieces and nephews; special cousins: Laura Guy, Bertha Abbott and Beryl Hoddinott, also a loving circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. and at the Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the United Church, Musgrave Harbour on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. Nellie’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff of 3 West, St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their loving care and support over the past 8 years.
