We regret to announce the passing of Joe Leach, 54, at the Maple Stone Nursing Home in Fairview.
Born in Sydney Mines on Jan. 3, 1956, Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Annie (Ferneyhough) Leach. He was an adherent of St. Pius X parish in Sydney Mines. At one time, Joe worked for Doug Burns Excavating Ltd.
He is survived by his sister, Vera Leach (Gary) Storm, Cole Harbour, and his niece, Crystal.
Visitation for Joe Leach will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Thursday, March 18, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in St. Pius X Church on Friday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Thomas John officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
