Lillian Cole
1924-2010
Lillian Cole, 85, of Sackville went to be with her Saviour and Lord on Friday, March 12, 2010.
Born in Midgic, she was a daughter of the late Havelock and Bertha (Mitton) Noiles.
Lillian was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. She was active in many ministries over the years including Sunday School, Children’s Church and Vacation Bible School. She loved to cook and entertain and over the years she provided a home away from home for many visiting missionaries.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 64 years, Sherman Cole; one daughter, Donna (Bruce) Estabrooks, Pelham, NH; a son Darrell (Carol), Moncton; three grandchildren, Chris (Chloe), Malcolm (Julie), and Jennifer (Robb) Harrell; three great grandchildren, Ava, Read and Alayna; brothers, Russell (Jeanette) Noiles, Charlottetown, Chester (Audrey) Noiles, Sackville; sisters, Kay Ward and Marg Beal, both of Sackville.
Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by a brother, Ken.
Arrangements were entrusted into the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation was held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010. A funeral service was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
Donations in Lillian’s memory can be made to the Salem Baptist Church or a charity of one’s choice.
