Margaret Jane MacLeod
STELLARTON – Margaret Jane MacLeod, 67 of Hudson Street, Stellarton died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Kathleen (MacKenzie) MacDonald.
Margaret graduated from the Aberdeen School of Nursing in 1963. Margaret loved her rocking chair, music and watching her son and grandchildren play baseball.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas MacLeod, Stellarton; sons, Brian (Natalie Perry), Halifax; Steven (Jolene), Stellarton; grandchildren: Chloe, Marcus, Michael, Nicolas, Samantha and Shelley; a sister, Kay (David) MacKenzie, Middleton; brothers, Andrew (Muriel), Pictou; Herbie, Greenwood; an aunt, Charlesena Dale, New Glasgow.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at the request of the deceased.
A private family committal service will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton.
