Ferne M. Johnston, 1934-2010 The death occurred at the MacMillan Lodge on Saturday, March 6, 2010 of Ferne M. (Milford) Johnston of Charlottetown, formerly of Liverpool, NS. Beloved mother of Ian (RoseAnn), Hugh (Suzanne) and Pam (Glenn); Grandmother of LeeAnne, Paige, Audrey, Sophie and Jessa. She is survived also by brother Noel (the late Peggy) Milford and sister-in-law Audrey (the late Carl) Milford, as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents George and Anna Milford and Brother Donnie. Ferne was descended from the Milfords of Victoria-by-the-Sea and MacLeods of Bonshaw, PEI. She was a graduate of Edgehill and attended Mount Allison University. Ferne was a member of the Confederation Centre and Trinity United Church choirs, as well as a keen bridge player and accomplished real estate professional. Her children express their gratitude to the staff at MacMillan Lodge for their compassionate, loving and expert care, as well as to thank her dear and devoted friends who supported so generously her health and happiness. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Interment to take place in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
